Harper will treat audiences to excerpts from his latest novel, "New Gillion Street," a gripping speculative fiction tale set in the politically-neutral world of Neo-Yuthea. In this thought-provoking satire, Albert Smith's orderly life is disrupted when Mr. Zand campaigns for Mayor, leading to uncertain times filled with shocking deaths, enforced arranged marriages, and the impending suppression of secret garden meetings. Hailed for his classic yet post-modern style, Harper's prose promises to transport readers to the precipice of chaos, where they'll join Albert and his neighbors in their fight for freedom.
