Norfolk Libraries has selected 10 titles from Fly on the Wall Press to be featured in their 2024 Big Indie Read initiative. This six-week reading promotion will showcase the publishers' books across all 47 Norfolk Libraries branches and online.
The Fly on the Wall Press books chosen include The Finery by Rachel Grosvenor, The Sleepless by Liam Bell, The Truth Has Arms and Legs by Alice Fowler, and The Unpicking by Donna Moore. Additional Fly on the Wall titles like Sylvia Plath Watches Us Sleep But We Don't Mind, The Naming of Moths, New Gillion Street, Disobedient Women, Guts of a Mackerel, and I Wanted to Be Close to You.
In total, nearly 200 books from 27 independent publishers around the UK will be included. Readers will be able to browse the full collection through the libraries' online catalog once the read launches. Participating titles will also be available as ebooks on Libby/Overdrive.
"We are honored to have our books recognized through the Big Indie Read initiative," said Isabelle Kenyon, Publisher at Fly on the Wall Press. "We hope this exposure encourages more readers to discover and enjoy the captivating stories we publish."
The Big Indie Read aims to celebrate exceptional writing from independent publishers across the UK. It will kick off across Norfolk libraries in April.
